COMEDIAN Kevin Hart made his first official appearance since his life-threatening car crash at the People's Choice Awards 2019.
The movie star made the unexpected appearance to accept the award for Comedy Act 2019.
The delighted room gave the funnyman a standing ovation as he walked out unaided to collect his gong.
Kevin then made a moving speech as he said: "First and foremost, thank God because I definitely don't have to be here.
"Being that I am, it makes me appreciate life even more. It makes me appreciate the things that really matter. Family."
He continued: "I want to thank my wife and kids, who really stepped up to the plate for me."
Kevin then thanked fans for their ongoing support as he added: "I want to thank the people, man.
"You have no idea the effect you have on us as entertainers your energy, your support. It means the world and I truly want to thank you guys for being there for me in my difficult time."
The star has been easing himself back to health with physio, and doctors have assured him that he'll eventually be back to where he was before the accident.
He was lucky to survive the accident and suffered three spinal fractures, two in the thoracic section of the spine and one in the lumbar.
Kevin spent ten days in hospital when his 1970 Baracuda muscle car ended up in a ditch in the Malibu Hills at 1am on September 1.
He went on to have a further stint in inpatient rehab, finally returning home on September 20.
With 43 different nomination categories at the ceremony, stars like Ariana Grande, Lizzo, Cardi b, Drake, Sophie Turner and Jameela Jamil were all in the running to get a nod.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston was on hand to receive the People's Icon Award, with Pink being honoured with the People's Champion of 2019 Award and Gwen Stefani nabbing the Fashion Icon Award.
The fan-voted show went without a host this year, as more awards shows opt to go use a multitude of presenters rather than the classic comedic host.
